Homemade Meatballs

Around our house meatballs are the go to for an easy dinner or lunch. Everyone around here seems to like them. When I make these I tend to make a bunch and freeze them in small portions. The freeze well and thaw quick. Perfect for any busy family.

I have used these meatballs for Swedish Meatballs, Spaghetti and Meatballs, BBQ Meatballs, as well as Meatballs and Gravy. The Littles in the house typically eat them with tooth picks. Everything is better eaten with a tooth pick!

Give them a try. Mixing the meats gives a ton of flavor and lowers the fat content. Win win in my life!

Homemade Meatballs

~ 1/3 Pound Ground Pork

~ 1/3 Pound Ground Beef

~ 1/3 Pound Ground Turkey

~ 2 Eggs

~ ½ Cup Bread Crumbs

~ 1 Tsp Garlic Powder

~ 1 Tsp Italian Seasoning

~ ½ Tsp Salt & Pepper

Directions: In a medium mixing bowl place meat and bread crumbs.

Mix well. (I find hands are the best tool for this job)

Add eggs and mix well.

Add seasonings and fully incorporate in to meat.

Don’t over mix, it causes the meatballs to have a soft texture.

Roll in to 1 inch balls and place on baking pan.

Bake for 15-20 min at 350 degrees. Internal temperature should read 160 degrees. Serve in sauce of choice. We like Swedish meatballs as well as BBQ meatballs.
